- Now that Dumbledore is gone, Professor Umbridge is declared headmistress of Hogwarts. Ugh.

- Cho tries to talk to Harry, but he doesn't want to have anything to do with her since she informed on Dumbledore's Army. Looks like their romance is dead.
- Harry, Ron, and Hermione are feeling pretty awful about how things have turned out.
- One day, they run into Hagrid who leads them into the Forbidden Forest to show them a surprise—his half-brother, Grawp.
- Grawp is a huge bumbling giant who picks up Hermione and scares the heck out of the three of them. But within a few minutes he seems friendly enough.
- Hagrid's worried that Umbridge might fire him and there will be no one around the take care of Grawp. Will Harry, Ron, and Hermione do it? Of course they will. They don't have enough on their plate, do they?
